Micro, Small and Medium enterprise can be of two types, i.e., manufacturing sector & service sector categorized based on the amount of investment made on plant & machinery (manufacturing sector) and equipment (by service sector):
- Manufacturing Sector:
- Micro Unit: Invested less than INR 25 Lakhs made on Plants & Machinery
- Small Unit: Investment made between INR 25 Lakhs to INR 5 Crore.
- Medium Unit: Investment made in plant and machinery of INR 5 Crore to INR 10 Crore.
- Service Sector:
- Micro Unit: Invested less than INR 10 Lakhs
- Small Unit: Investment made between INR 10 Lakhs to INR 2 Crore.
- Medium Unit: Investment made in plant and machinery of INR 2 Crore to INR 5 Crore.
Following is the step to get Udyog Aadhar registration under MSME:
- MSME owner can apply online by filing one-page application form through MSME official website www.msme.gov.in
- Complete the form by giving details such as owner’s details, business activity, bank details, and employment details if any.
- After completing the application, the online form is submitted by paying the prescribed fee.
- Once the form is submitted, the unique is allotted which is sent to mail id mentioned in mail id.
Following documents required for MSME Registration process:
- Aadhar card
- PAN of an applicant
- Name of the owner
- Business name
- Type of business activities
- Address of business for communication
- Details of bank account
- In case any prior MSME Registration
- Number of employees in the business
- Amount invested in plant and machinery/equipment by the business
