- Society registration is a state registration, and thus the registration certificate is granted by respective State Government. 2 copies of application along with supporting documentation shall be submitted to the Registrar of Societies of that state where society is to be registered.
- Upon the receipt of the application and careful verification of the same, registrar grants the Certificate of Registration with NGO Registration Number on it.

- Apply for DSCs of the proposed directors
- Reserve the name by applying the same through web service RUN. The applicant can apply up to two names through RUN.

- File the form online by paying government fees and stamp duty online
